This charter was organized by David Rogers, a Brit, and provided some unusual photo ops for two reasons.  David was not burdened with the "this is the way the DRGW did it in the 1960's" frame of mind so some of the consists were unusual.  The trip also experienced some weather contrasts, sunny fall color and an early snow storm.  All that was  combined  with David's usual attention to good lighting.  And it was fun chasing trains with a largely British group what was just as excited about seeing cowboys herding cattle as chasing steam.
