The Skookum made a photo debut, but was unable to move very far due to a valve gear issue. But it was steamed up and proved a nice photo op for an interesting machine. Many years ago the Skookum overturned while in logging service, was abandoned in place, eventually salvaged in pieces, passed through several owners, pieces were lost, but eventually the resources were invested to put it all back together again. And soon it will again be hauling trains. The OCSR shops were working on the engine on a contract basis and it will eventually be headed for an as yet undisclosed location.
