Our first stop was to see a group of preserved windmills, and an interesting museum that explained their use.
Our favorite place on the boat was one of two spots on either side of the bow. Sightseeing doesn't get much better than this. On the shore is a huge Ford Plant, that goes on an on. The river provides a lot of views of German industry.
The monument at the junction of the Rhine and Mossed rivers at Koblenz. Most of the flags are those of the various German states, but there is also a lone American flag which is a memorial to the victims of 9/11.
The Rhine Gorge has a lot of steep vineyards, train tracks on either side of the river, and castles overlooking the river.
