  • The Van Speyk is a good place to eat.  But you will notice the buildings are not parallel.  Lots of odd angles in Amsterdam.  I guess that's what happens when you build on mud.

  • Our first stop was to see a group of preserved windmills, and an interesting museum that explained their use.

  • Our favorite place on the boat was one of two spots on either side of the bow. Sightseeing doesn't get much better than this.  On the shore is a huge Ford Plant, that goes on an on.  The river provides a lot of views of German industry.

  • The monument at the junction of the Rhine and Mossed rivers at Koblenz.  Most of the flags are those of the various German states, but there is also a lone American flag which is a memorial to the victims of 9/11.
